Mowgli seeks revenge on the villagers who had planned to kill Messua, the woman who had taken him in, and driven out Mowgli himself. His plan is to let in the jungle on the village, and wipe it off the face of the earth. The first step is to drive in the wild pig and deer and buffaloes to destroy the village’s crops.
