‘The Other Man Who Could Write: Stephen Wheeler as Man of Letters’.
On 1 February 2023, Rufus Vaughan-Spruce spoke to the Society on this topic.
On Thursday 20th April there was an online meeting to discuss Kipling’s The Light That Failed, his first novel and an intriguing tale of unrequited love, art, war and male comradery. Unfortunately the recording of the discussion led by Siobhan Smith is lost.
Professor Harish Trivedi delivered this most interesting talk under the above title on 19 May 2023.
Kipling and masculinity: “But a good cigar is a smoke.” On 22nd Nov, John Walker addressed this topic. In the event, the online system faltered and he had to shorten his argument.
