Where Kipling’s poems first appeared

by collection, journal, notebook or MS

This table lists Kipling’s poems by where they were first published, or – in the case of unpublished poems, completed or sent to a friend or correspondent.  For this data, we have relied on the 2010 Bibliography by David Alan Richards, together with the Cambridge Edition of The Poetry of Rudyard Kipling edited by Thomas Pinney, (2013).  For the unpublished verses we have also drawn on “Early Verse by Rudyard Kipling” edited by Andrew Rutherford (Oxford 1986) Click here for a table arranged in date order.
