Waytinge

(August 1881)

Doubte not that Pleasure cometh in the End,—
And Honor therewithal
When olde Restraints be broken or unbende,
When olde Disguises fall,
Crampte passions, Pettie Lusts, Desires Small,
Love's severance, and doubtinges funeral.

Doubte not that Pleasure cometh·in the End
And therewith Perfect Reste,
When Woes be stilled, that scorche and seare and rende,
When all Things be confeste,
And thou shalt see, (her Hedde upon thy Breste)
How Love of Waytinge born bin Perfectest.
